A delegation from Surda Abu Qash Municipality, represented by Mayor Mr. Jad Mohareb Shalhout and members of the Municipal Council, paid an official visit to Dr. Laila Ghannam, Member of Fatah Central Committee and Governor of Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate. The visit came within the framework of strengthening cooperation and coordination between national and local institutions in a manner that serves the residents of the town and enhances the quality of services provided to them.
Dr. Ghannam warmly welcomed the delegation, congratulating the newly elected Municipal Council on assuming its responsibilities and wishing its members success in serving the community and fulfilling the aspirations of its residents.
During the meeting, the Mayor presented the Municipality’s vision and strategic plan for the coming phase, which focuses on implementing a number of vital development projects. Key priorities include the sewerage project, support and advancement of the education sector, promotion of local economic development, and expanding cooperation with public and private sector institutions to attract investment and implement development initiatives that benefit the town and its residents.
The Mayor also commended Dr. Ghannam’s distinguished national and field role in serving the people of the governorate and following up on their concerns. He congratulated her on her election to the Fatah Central Committee and wished her continued success in her national journey.
For her part, Dr. Ghannam reaffirmed her support for the Municipality’s efforts and expressed her readiness to cooperate and coordinate in ways that serve the public interest, strengthen citizens’ resilience, and contribute to improving the level of services provided to the community.
At the conclusion of the visit, the Municipal Council of Surda Abu Qash extended its sincere appreciation and gratitude to Dr. Laila Ghannam and the Governorate’s staff for their warm reception and generous hospitality, wishing them continued success in serving the homeland and the Palestinian people.
