As part of the Municipality’s ongoing field follow-up of development projects and its commitment to ensuring their implementation according to the highest standards, the Mayor of Surda Abu Qash Municipality, Mr. Jad Muhareb Shalhout, accompanied by Deputy Mayor Mr. Nael Ali Al-Shamali and members of the Municipality’s Engineering Department, conducted an official field visit to a number of projects currently under implementation to assess progress and monitor work on site.
The tour included visits to several key development projects, most notably:
• Surda Abu Qash Public Park Project: Structural construction works are nearing completion, with the overall project reaching approximately 70% completion and entering its final implementation stages.
• Surda Main Street (Town Center) Project: The municipal delegation was warmly welcomed by local residents and community members. A field tour of the project site was conducted in the presence of several citizens as part of the Municipality’s commitment to direct community engagement and listening to public feedback and observations.
• Surda Grand Mosque Road Project: Funded by the Municipal Development and Lending Fund (MDLF) with a contribution from the Municipality’s budget, the delegation reviewed the ongoing construction works and progress achieved on site.
• Abu Qash Sports Stadium Project: The project is currently in the tender evaluation phase, in preparation for the commencement of implementation works once all required procedures are finalized.
• Al-Mintar Road Project: The project has reached its final stage of implementation, with only road signage and traffic marking works remaining prior to final handover.
• Al-Mintar Park Project: This project forms part of the Municipality’s strategic plan to develop public spaces and enhance recreational facilities within the town.
During the tour, the Mayor and Deputy Mayor reaffirmed the Municipality’s commitment to completing all projects in accordance with the highest engineering and technical standards, in a manner that meets the needs of residents and contributes to improving public services and infrastructure throughout the town.
They also emphasized that the Municipality will continue its development efforts and service projects despite the various challenges, reflecting its dedication to sustainable development and improving the quality of life for the residents of Surda Abu Qash.
